その１－可能であれば、関係代名詞は避けよ

可能であれば関係代名詞は避けた方が良いようです。使用しても誤解がないと言い切れる場合は、その限りではありません。従って、以下のような日本語の場合は、

日本語：引き出し部材に連結され一対のレールに沿って移動可能な一対のランナ

英語（誤）：A pair of runners which are able to move along a pair of rails and which are connected to the drawing member.
英語（正）：A pair of runners capable of moving along a pair of rails and connected to the drawing member.

が推奨されるようです。
